1. The 2020 fall foliage map! Every year I say I want to go on a foliage trip and take allllll the pictures. This is probably not gonna be the year it happens, but man, when it does. I can never get enough of the fall colors.
  2. Our trip to Maine this year was top notch. We had the best time and I have been thinking about it non-stop since we got back! Part of me is like “I can’t believe we don’t live there” and part of me is like “I can’t imagine ACTUALLY living there.” If you haven’t been I totally recommend a long weekend trip. Most definitely one of my favorite places in the country – it’s so gorgeous! (Mental note: make it to Maine for the foliage trip!!!)
  3. We made the TikTok bagel sandwiches this weekend and they were DELISH. Highly recommend trying it if you love a good breakfast sandwich. Getting the bagel cut into fourths without ripping through the layers was the hardest part. After that you’re home free. We can’t wait to try other versions of this.
  4. The Kentucky Derby being in September was definitely weird. It felt so strange to watch it with the weather cooling down instead of finally warming up. I know I’ve said it one million times, but 2020 is so freakin’ weird. I’ll never get over it!
  5. Ugh. This is just too accurate.
  6. I am not the biggest football fan, but I will say that I do love when our Sundays are kiiiiiiind of accounted for. There is something about curling up on the couch with a book, football on in the background, and not moving all day that I can definitely get on board with. I can’t say I’m EXCITED for it, but I also won’t say I’m not happy about it. Not to mention my fall baking usually takes off around the start of football season! πŸ˜‹
  7. And speaking of books, I read The Happy Ever After Playlist (second installment of The Friend Zone books) this week and couldn’t have loved it more. If you are looking for a super, super cute romance and an easy read, I highly recommend these. I flew through them both in just a few sittings! (Ty, MT for sharing your copies with me!!)
  8. Also in relation to football season, it’s almost pumpkin beer time! Do you guys have a favorite brand? Do you love it? Hate it? Tell me! I was never into it until a few years ago, I had the Shipyard Pumpkinhead Ale and fell in love with it… It’s the cinnamon sugar rim for me. Now I try a bunch of new ones every fall. Which ones should I add to my list?!
  9. I drove this weekend. That’s it, that’s the whole bullet.
  10. Spending this weekend crossing off a few more things from my summer bucket list – shockingly, we made great progress on it! Who knew that writing stuff down and making a list would force some of these things to actually happen? What are you doing with your three day weekend?

Wishing you the absolute best summer send-off and a lovely Sunday, too!

with love, JAK
