1. I SO enjoyed our rainy Monday this week. Totally embraced the gray skies and spent the day being lazy, watching YouTube and making vodka sauce for dinner. Every once in a while you just need those days, and we were certainly overdue for one.
  2. We started Friday Night Lights (my first time, Ry’s one millionth) and I’m so into it. I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to watch it!!! Have you seen? Is it one of your favorites?!
  3. Anyone else a Jerry Seinfeld fan? I had heard about his new book Is This Anything? a few months ago, and saw it in Costco this week. I almost grabbed it but then thought I might prefer the e-book/audiobook combo since he reads it himself! The whole thing is little bits and jokes and seems like such a fun read! Can’t wait to dig into it.
  4. Book club this week was great, but I’m realizing that it’s starting to turn into two-hour-long meetings where we talk about the book for 45 minutes, and then life updates for the rest of the time. And I kind love it!!! Considering most of us don’t even know each other in real life, and have only become book club friends since quarantine, we are all VERY invested in each other’s outside-of-book-club-lives. The best.
  5. I officially started Christmas shopping this week. Amazon Prime Day was the incentive I needed to just get it started and I already feel relieved to have crossed a few people off my (ever-growing) list. Has anyone else started shopping yet? Did you snag anything exciting on Prime Day?!
  6. Absolutely lost it over this Be Our Guest parody for COVID times. I was literally cracking up listening to it and it totally got stuck in my head. Worth the 2 minutes of your day, for sure.
  7. Also loved this cartoon. I am definitely a many-time victim of “shoot…did I turn the oven off?”
  8. Have you guys been getting an INSANE amount of spam phone calls lately? I seriously have been getting like 5-10 every DAY and it’s really getting annoying. At first I was answering them thinking it could have been a doctors office or some other number I didn’t have saved. But I’ve just started ignoring them all and hoping they’ll leave a voicemail if it’s a real call. So irritating!!
  9. We carved pumpkins this weekend at a (((very small and outdoor))) family party and I have to say, I forgot how gross it is. It makes SUCH a mess and pumpkin guts are…gross. But they all ended up being so cute and it was such a fun/silly activity that made us all feel like little kids. 9/10 would recommend. -1 for the gross-factor.
  10. Not gonna lie, I failed Sunday Morning Musings this weekend. We had a fun-filled Saturday that turned into a fun-filled Sunday away from my laptop and I was just too exhausted to finish up the post when we finally made it home. I actually felt guilty that it didn’t go up on Sunday but decided to just roll with the bunches. A day late, but still made it happen. That’s gotta count for something!
